MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Tuskegee Golden Tigers and Winston-Salem State Rams are scheduled to meet for the first time in five years in the 2025 Red Tails Classic. The matchup will be played Sunday, Aug. 31, 2025, at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery and will be televised by on ESPNU. Kick time is set for 7 p.m. ET (6 p.m. CT).
This marks Tuskegee's fifth consecutive appearance in the Red Tails Classic and the first time they will face off against the Rams in the event's young history.
The Golden Tigers, led by head coach Aaron James, enter the 2025 season with high expectations following the 2024 campaign and a strong core of returners on both sides of the ball.
The 2025 matchup against Tuskegee will represent Winston-Salem State's first-ever appearance in the game and the Rams will be the second CIAA program to play in the game. The Rams, a perennial contender in the CIAA, travels to the Cramton Bowl after a 7-3 overall record and 5-2 mark in conference play last season.
Beyond the gridiron, the Red Tails Classic honors the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen, courageous African American pilots who broke racial barriers during World War II.
The game continues to serve as a platform to celebrate HBCU excellence, history, and tradition while bringing national attention to two storied programs.
