Research and Extension Assistant Professor of Environmental Sciences
Dr. El Afandi’s research focuses on climate and climate change impacts on various sectors, especially agriculture, water resources, and the environment. His work involves using the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model for multiple applications to develop adaptation strategies based on validated data. Additionally, he is exploring renewable energy, working on establishing a forecasting system for solar and wind energy using the WRF model and climatological data.
