CAENS Office of Information Technology

The CAENS Office of Information Technology supports technology, media, and communication needs for the College of Agriculture, Environment and Nutrition Sciences at Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ. We assist with equipment, video, photos, journalism, printing, Eventbrite requests, webpage updates, graphic design, and conference technology. 

Mission & Vision

Our mission is to empower CAENS students, faculty, staff, and partners by providing reliable, secure, and service-driven technology and media support that strengthens teaching, research, outreach, and community engagement.

We envision technology and media as tools that help tell the CAENS story, support the land-grant mission, and connect our work in agriculture, environment, and nutrition sciences to local, regional, and global communities.

Request Support

To request support from the CAENS Office of Information Technology, including graphic design, audio/visual support, editorial or publication assistance, event registration and promotion with Eventbrite, or webpage creation/editing, please complete the request form below.

How to Request CAENS Technology Assistance

Follow the steps below to ensure your request is routed correctly and completed on time.

Review Policies & Timelines

Confirm standard turnaround times and plan your deadline accordingly.

Tip: Business days only (no weekends/holidays).

Finalize Your Materials

Prepare final text, agenda, logos, images, links, and event details before submitting.

Policy: Placeholder content may delay service.

Submit the Request Form

Select the request type and complete all required fields. Upload files when available.

Note: Submit separate forms for different services.

Receive Confirmation

You’ll receive an email confirmation (and ticket number if enabled). Keep it for reference.

Review, Production & Delivery

CAENS IT reviews scope, confirms details if needed, then completes and delivers by deadline.

Submission Requirements

 

  • All requests must be submitted through the CAENS Technology Request Form.

  • Requests submitted via email, text message, or informal conversations will not be processed.

  • A separate request must be submitted for each service type (e.g., graphic design, AV support, Eventbrite, webpage updates).

  • All requests for must be approved through your department head.

Content Must Be Final Before Submission

 

To avoid delays and rework:

  • All text, images, agendas, speaker details, and supporting materials must be finalized before submitting a request.

  • Requests submitted with placeholder content, incomplete information, or “to be determined” details may be returned or delayed.

  • Substantial changes after work has begun may require:

    • A revised deadline, or

    • Submission of a new request.

     

Standard Service Timelines

 

Requests are processed in the order received and based on project complexity and staff availability. All timelines below reflect business days only and do not include weekends or university holidays.

Photography / Videography Services Minimum 7–10 business days before event

Note: Rush requests (less than 72 hours) require prior approval and are not guaranteed.

 

Rush & Priority Requests

 

  • Rush requests (less than 72 hours) require prior approval from CAENS IT leadership.

  • Approval is not guaranteed and depends on staff availability and scope of work.

  • Priority requests may still require a minimum review period to ensure quality and accuracy.

 

Approval & Compliance

 

  • All materials must comply with: 

    • Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ branding guidelines

    • Accessibility (ADA) standards

    • Institutional communication policies

     

  • CAENS IT reserves the right to delay or decline requests that do not meet these standards.

 

Communication & Follow-Up

 

  • Requesters will receive a confirmation email after submission.

  • Additional information may be requested before work begins.

  • Status updates will be communicated via email as needed.

 

Event & AV Support Guidelines

 

  • Event details (date, time, location, speakers, format) must be confirmed before submission.

  • Requests for AV support should be submitted at least 7 business days in advance.

  • Last-minute changes to event logistics may not be accommodated.
